Afterburners

Dependent on your location and roasting air quality control guidelines, you may be required to use an afterburner. Afterburners reduce the smoke and smell of the roasted coffee during the roast cycle. Please check with your local AQMD department for their specifications. Even if your roaster is well within the guidelines for not requiring an afterburner if your local neighbors voice complaints about the smoke and smell you may be required to install an afterburner.

Afterburners are made specific to the size of your roaster and the amount of BTU's your roaster generates. Our afterburners do not have a blanket insulation. We prefer using refractory cement, which has a much longer life expectancy. The initial cost of our afterburner may be higher but due to not having to replace insulation over the long run it is competitively priced.
